Today I brought greetings on behalf of the city to the top 40 under 40 winners as chosen by the Guelph Mercury.
Even my neighbour, Monica DaMaren (seen below), was recognized today for being a life coach-author-and willing to live near me! (That last part was made up!😜) There were a lot of familiar faces this year! I found that many are making such a big impact in Guelph already that I’ve run into them at many community events already, or they are often seen in local media doing great things in our city. I want to congratulate everyone and the friends and family that support them! You’re making a huge difference in our city and I thank you for it.
I talked today how the Guelph Mercury initiative to pause and celebrate these 40 people is what our city should be doing more often. We have so much going on that we need to promote and celebrate it more! We need to share our good news stories.
