Aon Hewitt recognizes Guelph, ON-based real estate investment management organization for outstanding employee engagement!
The Skyline Group of Companies is proud to announce that it has been selected as an Aon Best Employer—Canada 2016, Gold Level. A global leader in HR consulting, Aon Hewitt compiles its highly-acclaimed and reputable list of Best Employers annually, based on comprehensive research into company policies and procedures, as well as
employee engagement and satisfaction. This past summer, Skyline’s staff (over 600-strong and reaching across dozens of communities in Canada) was asked to participate in an in-depth study pertaining to its level of engagement and job satisfaction. Specifically, staff was surveyed on engagement (whether they feel motivated at work), performance culture (whether success is rewarded), leadership (whether executives treat their team as valued assets) and employment brand (whether they are proud to work at the company).
Skyline’s executives and human resources departments each completed additional surveys, rounding out Aon’s three separate components to the study. Having scored a 78% engagement rate as calculated by Aon, the real estate investment company was selected as a Gold-Level Best Employer – a remarkable achievement for a first-time applicant. “Being recognized as an Aon Best Employer in Canada is a very big deal to us here at Skyline,” said
Martin Castellan, Co-Founder and Chief Administrative Officer of the Skyline Group of Companies.
“This recognition demonstrates that we are doing right by our staff, and collectively we are fostering an environment true to our values – which I believe is one of the greatest contributing factors making Skyline a great place to work.”
Further to this recognition, the data retained from the program will give the company’s leadership team candid insight into its largest strengths and areas for improvement, and how it compares with other organizations on these aspects. “Our commitment to our fellow Skyliners is that we will always work toward being better,” Castellan said. “We are using the survey results to determine additional areas for improvement, whereby we can focus on clearing the path for even greater satisfaction and engagement.” According to Aon Hewitt’s Best Employer website, “Employees are engaged when they say, stay and strive. . . [Employee] engagement leads to higher attraction by prospective employees, as well as better retention rates and work performance from current staff. With Aon Best Employer
