Very much appreciated the chance to go skating again last night, but the ice was in dangerously poor condition – very rough, with chunks missing, which created a couple of holes. We were there about 8:30 p.m. and it looked as though the ice cleaning machine hadn’t been used since much earlier in the day. I know yesterday was a stat holiday, which maybe explains the lack of maintenance, but someone could easily have taken a nasty tumble simply because of the condition of the ice surface. The rink is a great and well-used facility – I’d like to see it properly taken care of.
