@PevsProtects @Storm_City @TheHSF Event Feb 26th! #Guelph @RichPeverley

 It’s Heart Month! Today we raised the flag at city hall for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Specifically, for the “Pevs Protects” initiative founded by local Guelph Family – Rich & Nathalie Peverley.   Rich, now retired from the NHL, played several seasons including with the Stanley Cup winners Boston Bruins and then went off to the Dallas Stars. At a Dallas Stars game Rich suffered a cardiac event where a defibrillator saved his life. He talks about it here today:

 There will be about 1000 volunteers walking door to door this month raising awareness and raising much needed funds for the Heart and Stroke foundation. Please consider listening to them, encouraging them and donating to their cause.

On Feb 26th the Guelph Storm will be celebrating Pevs Protects! Everyone is being asked to wear red! Money raised will go towards purchasing AED devices (defibrillators) for placement within Guelph!

 Thank you Rich for supporting this amazing cause and thank you for thinking of others in our community that these AED’s can be of assistance to in their time of need!

See you at the Storm Game!
