A great meeting with Liberal MP David Lametti! Thank you for coming to Guelph and taking a full day to meet with myself, our staff, the University, local businesses and our Chamber of Commerce!

The government is taking time to have meaningful conversations about the Trans-Pacific Partnership. This is a trade agreement among 12 Pacific rim countries after years of negotiations.

They inherited the TPP from the previous government so they’re taking the time to get feedback across Canada on the proposed deal.  Although signed, implementation and ratification can take up to two years only if necessary.

David and his team were very engaged and again I thank them for coming to Guelph today.
