Excited councillors, developers, city staff and police board members were on hand for the ground breaking ceremony this morning!
This is a long time coming and is an exciting project for our city!
Thank you to everyone that has made this come together over the last couple of years. Council was presented with a clear business case about two years ago indicating that the building needed to be upgraded to support our growing city.

As this is a complex, large capital project, the city will be very transparent, accountable and will make regular reporting on the project to all.
I’m very happy that over the past year this council has created a project management office that will oversee these types of projects.
