On behalf of the City of Guelph, I want to congratulate the entire team at NSF.

This is a remarkable facility and I know it takes a huge amount of effort and planning to bring a project like this to completion.

Most of all, I want to thank NSF for your investment in Guelph and your commitment to Guelph.

You could have gone anywhere. We are very glad that you decided to stay in Guelph, to grow in Guelph, and to create jobs in Guelph.

We are very proud to be home to NSF – a global leader in the field of food and food safety. We are proud to be the Canadian hub of NSF International. And we’re proud that, with this new facility, NSF will have ever greater capabilities in food safety training, consulting, and technical services.

This development is a true Guelph success story.

It’s an example of the strong partnership between the University of Guelph and the private sector. It’s an example of Guelph’s continued strength in the fields of food and agri-innovation. It reflects Guelph’s place as part of the Ontario Food Cluster – one of the largest food and beverage processing jurisdictions in North America.

Once again – congratulations to all employees of NSF. You have been the foundation of NSF’s success and growth, and you will be the driving force of its continued success here in this beautiful new facility.
