Guelph, Ont., October 28, 2016 – Today, local success story Rowan Williams Davies & Irwin Incorporated (RWDI) officially opened its new 130,000 square foot facility at 600 Southgate Drive in the Hanlon Business Park. A major expansion to the existing building increased the floor area by 40 percent and will accommodate an additional 200 people over the next five to seven years.

This new space offers a better sense of community for our staff as we are all under one roof.”
The efficiencies created by the move will allow RWDI to continue to focus investment in research and development. The new facility has already incorporated major equipment and software upgrades including state-of-the-art wind tunnels and a water tunnel. These new investments, coupled with RWDI’s reputation for attracting top talent in the scientific and technical sectors, will allow the company to increase its service offerings and enter new markets both locally, and globally.

RWDI’s three year Southwestern Ontario search ended in 2014. The new location has amalgamated the previous three separate buildings in Guelph into one newly renovated building. RWDI’s expansion is aligned with the City of Guelph’s economic development strategy by adding to the city’s current supply of high quality labour and strengthening Guelph’s targeted clean technology sector.
