September 7 is Ukrainian Heritage Day in Ontario. This day has special significance now, as we hope and pray for peace in Ukraine. I am proud that Guelph has raised funds and in some cases, opened their homes for Ukrainian refugees. My thanks to all community members who are working together, including members of the congregation of Holy Protection of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church.
