National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Every year on December 6, Canada marks the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This is a day when we remember and pay tribute to the 14 young women who were tragically killed, and 13 others who were injured, in a senseless attack at the École Polytechnique de Montréal.

As we honour their memories, we also recommit ourselves to continuing to raise our voices against misogyny and gender-based violence. And we recommit ourselves to a world where all women, girls, and gender diverse people are safe, respected, and thriving.
