Mending relationships, working together and helping our citizens collectively with other stakeholders has been a major focus of mine since taking office.
I’m so very pleased to inform everyone that after years of what many defined as a “fractured relationship” that included the removal of Guelph city council representation from the county social services committee, the governance committee voted in favour of reconstituting a formal relationship with them yesterday.
There’s still work to be done. Terms of reference to complete along with all of council to vote on the matter at the end of this month, but as this article states, I’m tickled pink about it!
Guelph should be too.
