June 27 is a day when Canadians celebrate the many cultural communities that make up Canada. Many of you may have attended the Multicultural Festival at Riverside Park a couple of weeks ago – our city’s annual celebration of the many cultures that Guelph is so fortunate to be home to. I am grateful every day for the many ways different cultural groups make our city a better place. Today is also a day to rededicate ourselves to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to being a welcoming city where everyone feels they belong, and everyone can thrive.
