Yesterday, I visited Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School with Ward 6 Councillor Dominique O’Rourke to celebrate the grand opening of their new six-lane polyurethane rubberized running track and full-size artificial turf field. The attached images don’t do it justice, so drop by sometime and see it for yourself!

This new facility is located next to the upcoming South End Community Centre, which will be finished construction in 2026. This grand opening continues the longstanding partnership between the Wellington Catholic District School Board and City of Guelph to create places like this for the community to use.

Congratulations to the WCDSB and to Bishop Mac’s staff and students on the opening of this wonderful modern facility!
